The Claridge Hotel Announces Cem Erenler as Hotel General Manager
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (February 25, 2015) – The Claridge Hotel is proud to announce the appointment of Cem Erenler to the position of Hotel General Manager. In his new role Mr. Erenler will oversee all of the hotel operations, guest services and development of this historic Atlantic City, NJ hotel.
Cem Erenler’s career in the hospitality industry began at the young age of 15 in his native country Turkey. After moving to the United States in 1993, Mr. Erenler attended St. Peters University for MBA program in International Business Management. By 1999 he had become the Food and Beverage Manager at 5 Diamond-The Four Seasons Hotel in New York City. His career flourished, running the food and beverage department of one of New York’s top hotels.
In most recent years, Mr. Erenler continued to take on senior leadership roles at various hotels and restaurants, including two of Ian Schrager’s properties, The Hudson Hotel and the Paramount Hotel as well as the well-known, another 5 Diamond- property of The Regent Wall Street Hotel and Spa. Mr. Erenler was also founding manager and instrumental in opening the luxury catering halls, IACC Conference Center, known as The Palace, in Somerset, New Jersey. In addition to his tenure in hotels, Mr. Erenler consulted to luxury boutique hotels, branded hotels, Golf Club and various hospitality venues in NY and Massachusetts. Mr. Erenler’s most recent experience as General Manager was at The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel and before that, The Reeds at Shelter Heaven, where he successfully opened and operated luxury boutique resort in Cape May, New Jersey.
Mr. Erenler’s creative and innovative entrepreneurial approach enabled him to build, open and operate nationally and internationally recognized fine dining restaurant in the heart of NYC called Pera Mediterranean Brasserie. The restaurant received the award of “Top Five New Restaurant in NYC” by Zagat-2008. Mr. Erenler’s added value to the industry, through his tenure, has been featured at various prominent media outlets.
With over 23 years experience, Mr. Erenler will bring his vast experience to developing The Claridge Hotel which is now under new ownership. This iconic Atlantic City Hotel is putting the finishing touches on renovating all of the property’s 500 guest rooms and suites as well as two new ballrooms, ocean view banquet room, indoor pool deck, Twenties restaurant, fine art gallery, 500 seat theater and two lounges.
